FAQ

FAQ

What is CCMC Church Camp?
CCMC Church Camp is an annual Family camp for the entire church congregation.
It is held during the 2nd Weekend of the June School vacations and is attended by the whole spectrum of our adult congregation with their children (Junior Church) together with youths (OC Ministry) and young adults.

What is Church Camp Like?
CCMC Church Camps is the single longest and biggest gathering of the church congregation outside the Sunday services. To many, this is also a time away; to hear God and learn from the Speaker about God.

It is also a camp with a relaxed atmosphere for all to get to know another better through the discussions; workshops, recreation activities and over delicious food.

Why should I sign up for church camp?
In our offices, our employers do an annual cycle of year-end and mid year reviews of how they are doing in their job. We encourage you to take some time this mid year to do a spiritual review of your Christian walk in view of the certainty of Christ’s 2nd coming.

It is also an opportunity for the family to get to know the CCMC community better and to fellowship in a not “in a Sunday rush” environment; getting to know others more deeply.

What are the other programmes prepared for this year’s camp?

In line with the Camp theme and the challenge for our response to the certainty of Christ’s coming, some of the following complementary program planned include:

  • Married/To Be Married Couples – A special workshop has been planned by Family Life ministry for all married couples.

  • Young Adults – The single adults will be engaged in a workshop that is relationship centric, with the focus on either dating or spiritual friendships.

  • Seniors – There is also a discussion planned for seniors dedicated to the plans and aspirations of seniors.

  • Youths – The youths will be having their own program involving games and similar activities.

  • Junior Church – The Junior church will have a their own program which is still being finalised.

How do we get there?
Jen Hotel is located about 40 minutes from CCMC. The fastest route is via the 2nd link in Tuas. The travelling time is about 15 minutes after clearing the Malaysian Immigration and Customs.
Campers can either opt to drive to the hotel or arrange car pools. We have also arranged the 2 way transport via Tour buses to and from the Hotel from CCMC.

Why do we choose this location?
Hotel Jen is well run and maintained, making it suitable for the camp.
Secondly, its location close to some major tourist attractions for family bonding.
Thirdly, the close proximity to Singapore will allow those who may have difficulty getting leave for the entire duration of the camp to still attend a major part of the camp.

What type of rooms is available?
There is only 1 single category of room – Deluxe Rooms. Each room also has a build-in day bed that is good for 1 adult.

We are a family with 1 primary school kids, how should we sign up?
All deluxe rooms are fitted with a day bed; which is sufficient for one full grown adult so the child is able to sleep on the day bed. Do note that the hotel does not have any extra bed service.

We are a family with 2 primary school kids, how should we sign up?
All deluxe rooms are fitted with a day bed; which is sufficient for one full grown adult so 1 of the child can use that extra bed. As the hotel does not have any extra bed service, your younger child may share the master bed.

What can I do if I cannot take too many days’ leave?
All are encouraged to attend the full duration of the camp. Should you have any difficulty being away from Singapore for the entire duration, please approach our Camp Organising Team we would be happy to assist!

Is the Camp suitable for those who have movement restriction?
The Camp Organising Team is keen to do its best to support campers so that all can focus on the spiritual nourishment and have a good experience. Please approach the Team to discuss your movement restriction and support required.

What about diet restrictions?
Majority of the meals will be on a full buffet service that caters to the taste and preference of hotel guest.
You are advised to notify the Camp Organizing Team of your diet restriction so we could discuss the requirement with the hotel.
